Black Tomato: Journey Into the Unknown in Antarctica

I've seen and heard of so many wonderful experiences all over the world, but I'm truly wowed by this incredible expedition to Antarctica from partner, Black Tomato. The 13-day adventure starts with a specially chartered flight from Cape Town over hundreds of iridescent blue icebergs before landing on a spectacular ice runway at Dronning Maud Land in east Antarctica. On arrival, you'll be driven to the custom-built eco-camp Whichaway, set in a rugged coastal wilderness setting.

Each day is spent hiking the wild coastline, visiting penguin rookeries, mountain climbing and abseiling down vast ice cliffs, skidoo riding or kite-surfing, or boarding a DC3 aircraft for short flights, the best way to take in the enormous surroundings. Best of all is the drive deep into the Wohlthat Mountains to spend an unforgettable night at Scott Camp, an exact replica of the pyramid tents used by the great explorer. Truly extraordinary. Departure dates are November to January and space is limited.
