Hacienda de San Antonio

Municipio de Comala, Colima

Hacienda de San Antonio is a small five star luxury resort in a beautifully restored Hacienda at the foot of a volcano near Colima, Mexico
If it's space you're after, you've come to the right place. I heard about this mountain-side retreat from Alexandra Coigny in Mexico City—sounds like a great escape. At the foot of Volcán de Fuego, the property occupies nearly 500 acres of manicured parkland inspired by the gardens of the Alhambra in Granada, Spain. On top of that, it's surrounded by another 500 acres of working ranch and organic coffee plantation—so no shortage of morning espressos! The 26 suites are creative and colourful, with 15-foot vaulted ceilings, fireplaces and over-sized antique furnishings—but no TV. Eat wherever you like, whether it's in the grand dining room, or relaxing on couches by the side of the pool. Adventurers will head out into the surrounding countryside on foot or horseback while the more sedentary relax by the pool. Or you could always play tennis or golf, on property. Kids and pets are welcome to join you, completing the chilled out atmosphere. Located 30 minutes north of Colima Airport.

Room rates from $400.
